Yessh we need to play D3. I'm only Level 27 right now and I get killed a lot because I try to fight monsters who are too hard for me.

I was playing with Vee... I can't remember where we were. I'm on level 8 now with my new barb. I was thinking of trying out something ranged though I'm never good with them and frankly... I'm more of a melee person. I want a ranged character I can call Feuilly though.

A ranged chara called Feuilly would be great!

I'm right there with you, though - I like to wade into melee and just bash things. I had a Barb in D2 whose stats were distributed so that she could use ranged weapons if needed, but we can't do that in D3.

And in general, I'm just really bad with ranged-weapons-only classes and with magic users. I should branch out.

I've done a DK tank/DPS and a warrior tank/DPS in WoW. My favorite for PvP though was a frost mage and that's one of the only magic using classes that I ever got used to. When I went arcane, I would top DPS along with Vee and HER arcane mage. It was really dumb...

I always did a two handed melee barb in D2 but it got really easy really fast. For the first act, I didn't even bother putting in any points and I usually never died. That was on normal mode though.

Sometimes I just really need to bash the fuck out of some zombies, you know?

That sounds fantastic! I have never played WoW though I have friends who play.

I do know about the need to bash zombies. Oh boy, do I know. Sometimes there's nothing quite so satisfying. Best therapy there is.

Before I played WoW I said that to someone. "I never played WoW before" and they said this:

"That's like saying, "I've never taken heroin before.""

And they're right. It's so damn addicting. If you have time, go for it. If you don't... stay far, far away.

That's what I've been afraid of - getting into WoW and never wanting to do anything else ever again!

Of course, now that I've got my new computer, all I've been doing is playing D3. -_-

D3 is awesome. It's akin to WoW, except with a lot of improvements.

I tend to stay ranged all around. Warlocks, necromancers, wizards, mages, and I'm loving my demon hunter right now. Just managed to beat Diablo!

Also have the Staff of Herding, so when you guys get up in level, I can take you to Whimsyville!

I'm currently stuck on Jabba the Hutt - I mean Ghom. Think I'm going to run through the dungeons a few more times and get at least one more level before I take him on again.

YES STAFF OF HERDING. Whimsyville looks even better and crackier than the Cow Level in D2. Blizzard, you mad geniuses.

Demon hunters look interesting. I wonder if anyone's beaten the game with a Monk.

They definitely have! Beaten the game with a monk at any rate. I'm still enjoying my own, but I haven't played her in a bit. I've been too focused on my DH.

Ghom was so easy for a ranged, but I do wonder how a melee can handle that guy. Him and his damn poison cloud.

Whimsyville is AWESOME! Did a run there to see what it was about. It's just hilarious, and you get those damn pages of blacksmithing and jewelcrafting.

Ghom is immune to half my attacks and gosh that stupid poison cloud is annoying. Maybe I'll buddy up with the enchantress again and let her shoot spells at him while I run back and forth.

I may make a Monk at some point - they are supposed to be kind of like the Assassins from D2? I think?

Hah, yay for Whimsywille. XD And one of the login messages has been "there is no secret cow level". HALF-TRUTHS!

I have no idea. I didn't really play the assassin in D2 so your guess is as good as mine. I can't really compare it to other melee fighters either. I AM SO USELESS!

And yes, buddy up with someone who's ranged. Then lead that fat fuck around the place. At least the gas cloud vanishes after a minute or so.

Love that the ghost of the Cow King ushers you to Whimsyville.
