Oops, sorry for the two-week absence...
Jul. 28th, 2012 10:44 am...luckily, I don't think anyone noticed.
I've been on Twitter pretty much daily, and with all the excitement and controversy about The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey coming out in December, I've been sucked back into Tolkien fandom and have been spending much of my online time on one of their big messageboards.
I admit that I am much more a book than a film fan when it comes to Tolkien, but I'm also a Sherlock fan so I am very interested to see what Martin Freeman will do with the role. Also, Richard Armitage, Andy Serkis, and Aidan Turner. Yes, I wish to see this film.
It's releasing on the same day as the Les Mis film (o cruel filmmakers!), so I pretty much expect to spend all day in the cinema on December 14th. I shall live on popcorn.
I've also been spending a lot of time outdoors this summer, despite our heatwave and drought. It was odd to have no fireworks on the 4th of July, though. (Fireworks ban, burning ban - a.k.a. no barbeques - and water restrictions are all still in effect in our county.)
I hope everyone has been having as good a summer as possible, and if you have not, I hope things get better soon, sooner, soonest. Truly.
In other news, it's nice to get back to RPing a bit again. :)
